The Journal of Ferrari History
Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

Ferrari introduced its four liter LM berlinetta to the world as a GT prototype on March 4, 1963 at a press conference at the Monza race track. The idea was to run the car in the FIA's unlimited prototype class for cars over three liters, and to fend off perceived threats from Carroll Shelby's Cobras and GM's Corvettes. |

The bottom of the sleeves was cut or filed to match the profile of the wheel. These sleeves were held in place by a small knurled nut, along with the normal fluted or knurled cap. I have salvaged these pieces from my old series II PF Cabriolet when the Pirelli Cinturato tires were replaces in 1980. |

In Joel Finn's seminal work on the 250 TR, the first entry for s/n 0718 TR was that it was an Ecurie Belge entry at Goodwood, Silverstone, and Le Mans. |
